Anyway, that's just one reason why small can be better when it comes to houses. That and the simple fact they look wonderful, and make you focus on exactly what you need and what is useful, and beautiful ...
Here are a few tiny homes I would love to live in -
Masses of pictures from the inside of a very small abode
A q&a about a tiny house
This tiny house still has room for masses of books ... |
Ten tiny houses all tied up in one post - immerse yourself in tiny homes!
A week by week guide to building a little house starts here
And, perhaps most importantly of all, how to live with someone in a very small space
Of course, all the images included in this articles and posts provide masses of inspiration for design even if your house isn't officially tiny - most homes have limited space, and many people have too much, all trying to be crammed into that very same area. Imaginative use of space is just what's needed ...or an intense declutter ...which will be the topic of another post very soon!
Interestingly, most, if not all, tiny houses, are lived in by people who either ruthlessly prune their possessions, or just don't own that much ...
Hope you enjoy your own living space, large, medium, or tiny.
Our rental apartment is only 86m2 with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom, 2 toilets, 1 bathroom and sauna. Sauna of course. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that a sauna is an essential. We really don't know how to live in the UK. Not at all.
ReplyDeleteI would love a bigger space with an art studio just to myself... Maybe one day - though I'd probably have to win the lottery to afford that one in London! Have a lovely week xo
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment - I'm like you, I would love a work space/studio/study - somewhere that's just mine :)
DeleteThanks for the link to our videos on building our tiny house :-) Small is great, if it works for you. It works for us and it has dramatically changed our view of "space" and "stuff" - in fact, as we travel, if we stay in rooms/rentals they're often twice the size of our tiny house (which we find hilarious) and we often even remove half the furniture in the space because it feels too cluttered. I doubt we could ever go back to "bigger" and "more stuff".
ReplyDeleteHope you find a home perfectly sized for you!

Hi! I'm so pleased you found this! I was inspired by your whole website, and journey, as much as the tiny house :)
DeleteThanks so much for the comment.
I occasionally dream of big fancy houses, but usually come to the same conclusion you do. It's a lot to clean, the expenses are higher, and I rather like the intimacy of a smaller home. Once it is just my husband and me, I would take the house above in a second. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a good point - the intimacy of a small living space. If you're with the one you love, well, you don't need masses of room ;)
Deletethanks for letting me know about the link! isn't that tiny house the sweetest you have ever seen?! i just adore it. so glad to know about you blog now too! xx
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! Thanks for the comment and the follow :)
DeleteThat house is just so perfect, both inside and out - love it!
